Primary Position: Professor of Micro Bio Mechanical Engineering

Background

Kazuyuki Minami graduated from Tohoku University in 1983 and received the ME degree from Tohoku University in 1985, and the Doctor of Engineering degree in precision engineering from Tohoku University in 1994.From 1985 to 1990, he was employed by Olympus Optical Co., Ltd., Tokyo, Japan. From 1990 to 1999, he served as a research associate and a associate professor at the Tohoku University. In 1999, he joined Yamaguchi University.

His research interest includes three-dimensional micromachining, MEMS such as microactuators, and their application for biomedical field.

Professor Minami is a member of the Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers, Japanese Society for Medical and Biological Engineering, the Japan Society for Precision Engineering, and a senior member of IEE Japan.
